The Hakusan (HakuSwap): Alright @everyone! We’ll be starting the AMA with Yieldwolf. Thanks for joining us @Mariano | YieldWolf Dev. How are you today?

Mariano (YieldWolf): Hi everyone! It’s a pleasure to be here! Many thanks to the HakuSwap team for hosting us today!

The Hakusan (HakuSwap): Absolutely! And we’re looking forward to the AMA in your server tomorrow. This AMA will be run in 2 parts. Part 1 will be a Q&A. Part 2 will be an open forum. Since this is a brand new Discord server we don’t have the bots like at telegram.

So. first question, what is YieldWolf?

Mariano (YieldWolf): YieldWolf is a DeFi automation platform focused on automating strategies efficiently and in a truly decentralized way. YieldWolf increases potential revenues by auto-compounding rewards at optimal rates and distributing gas costs between all the stakers in a vault. The YieldWolf protocol was built to support a large and ever-growing number of projects so that users can earn rewards from the projects they are most excited about but more efficiently and fairly. YieldWolf’s smart contracts pool together the deposits of multiple users and compounds rewards at optimal rates, usually every few minutes. By pooling many users together, YieldWolf can compound at high frequencies, which generally are only profitable for whales. Thus, YieldWolf helps reduce the gap between the rate of return obtained by larger players and the rate of return of everyday users.

The Hakusan (HakuSwap): That’s great to hear. Your tvl has really started to increase. and as we all know, with an increase in TVL comes an increase in attention from malicious actors and exploiters. What actions have Yield Wolf taken to ensure users deposits are safu?

Mariano (YieldWolf): This is a great question! First of all, we have audited our contracts with Paladin which is one of the top smart contract auditors. We also run multiple peer review of our contract with industry experts.

Besides the security of our contracts, it’s crucial that also the projects we integrate with are secure. When we analyze a project to integrate, our first filter is security and integration compatibility. We run an extensive set of automated security and integration tests, and we manually check the contracts and configurations. Besides this, we analyze how much tvl we’re likely to attract. Our vaults compound faster the higher the tvl, so it’s essential we integrate projects with potential for high tvl.

The Hakusan (HakuSwap): It’s great to hear security is a top priority, would you mind linking to your audit?

Mariano (YieldWolf): Of course, https://paladinsec.co/projects/yieldwolf/

The Hakusan (HakuSwap): Yieldwolf now has over $30 million TVL with a whopping 458 vaults. How does your team add so many vaults so quickly?

Mariano (YieldWolf): Before launching we built an automated framework for testing integration and security across many projects. This allowed us to reduce the work required in our side to safely integrate with multiple projects. But we are also increasing our team size constantly to keep up with our growth.

But we are still at the very beginning! We have lots of ideas and cool projects to help people optimize their yields and support new type of strategies! We aim to provide more opportunities customized for everyone needs and to provide the best stats and reporting to ensure everyone can make the most informed decisions.

The Hakusan (HakuSwap): My next question is 2 fold!

How many people work at Yield Wolf now and what is the revenue structure to support the protocol?

Mariano (YieldWolf): We’re currently 8 people with 2 more starting in the next few weeks. Our revenue model is based on a 3% performance fee (only from the rewards received). This 3% includes the bounty rewards paid to users who run the compound transaction. However, we’re also doing many incentive compounds in vaults that still don’t have enough TVL to compound frequently.

We have lower fees and compound faster than most other projects, which is also powering our fast growth. Here is a fee comparison table with other competitors: https://docs.yieldwolf.finance/protocol/fees

The Hakusan (HakuSwap): Low fees sure do bring the crowds in 🙂

What is your plan to expand on AVAX?

Mariano (YieldWolf): YieldWolf is a platform best known on Fantom and Cronos. But we are actively working on expanding to Avalanche.

Avalanche is a cheap and fast network with a strong community and a dedicated team working to improve scalability and with a long-term vision.

We plan to work with the projects with the highest potential from an early stage, so we can share part of the growth in a way that helps both projects. This is why HakuSwap was the perfect opportunity. HakuSwap is bringing innovation and features rarely seen on a new project, and we believe their TVL and community can keep growing in the long term. We plan to keep working on promoting these vaults to help HakuSwap improve their exchange liquidity while increasing the TVL of our vaults.

We also have plans to launch a dex aggregator in the short-term and HakuSwap will be part of our route optimization algorithm, which can help HakuSwap increase the trade volume and allow us to provide better swap prices.

The Hakusan (HakuSwap): I can see us both growing dramatically and supporting each other as we go! and the last question, when wolf token?

Mariano (YieldWolf): We plan to launch our platform token in a few months. We decided to launch without a token because we didn’t want to risk having a token without a real utility other than being distributed. Instead of risking launching a token that couldn’t be sustained, we decided to wait until we were more established and have developed more features. We’re working on a few features that will generate liquidity and incentive to buy and hold our token. We will be announcing more details about this in the next month!

The Hakusan (HakuSwap): Given your success with out a token, im sure the implementation of a token will really boost your protocol. We know that when you’re ready to deploy we’ll be here to support it!
